Australia currently has military personnel in East Timor to try to help stop the rioting, etc that's going on over there. As the troops left, our illustrious Prime Minister said that they were being sent into a dangerous situation and that there could be casualties. But now he's saying it's not a war like situation so that the government doesn't have to pay them combat rates. This impacts on their superannuation payouts, their service records, everything.
What a horrible little man he is. Send them out there, tell them they could get killed and then cheat them of their pay.
