Outside the shop next door there's a leaking water tap under the pavement. Water is happily flowing down the street. I've rung the water company - South Eastern Water - three times over the last week. Because it's a shopping area they can only do maintenance after hours. They tell me it's "on the list". I think they've forgotten we're in a drought and don't seem at all worried about all this water being wasted. Disgraceful.
