Another missive from the wanderers.....

Dearest Jules,
Lots and lots of love to everyone!! Sorry about Soul's email coming first ~ I didn't get to the internet cafe that time, I don't remember why. So happy to hear that everything is well re: Tash and pussy cats. I'm very sorry I missed Dad's birthday ~ I am going to try to call tonight. We are actually in civilisation at a hotel ~ we went on Safari yesterday ~ saw various antelopes, warthog (one with baby which was very cute) and lots and lots of beautiful elephants. Then we went on a 2 hour boat ride and saw all sorts of birds and hippo and buffalo ~ one hyena. No lions or leopards, alas. It was a hell-trip of 6 hours in a bus to get there and then further time in the bus to search for animals (thank God for the elephants or we'd have all gone mad!!) Then to a dodgy safari park cafe for lunch (oh no ~ not more rice and beans!) then the boat ride which was fantastic. Then another 3 hour bus ride (hell) to this hotel ~ which seems like heaven, with running water, hot water even, sheets! Dinner in a dining room with chairs ~ amazing stuff. Breakfast! And the internet cafe. I had a shower last night and one again this morning ~ so luxurious!!!
There's so much to say and yes we have lots of photos ~ and people with better cameras than us are going to share too, which will be great. We have done so much and had such experiences ~ I love Africa: so unpredictable and quite a mystery.
Anyway, I had better go because folk are waiting and we haven't much time. Love you! Miss you! hope to talk to ma and pa soon.
