I've just had someone from Allen and Unwin, the Australian publisher, on the phone trying to appease me. At least they know now. Still can't get the book though.

Keep stirring. Our local (U.S.) independent store is getting their copies (presumably HAS their copies by now), so it's doable.
Any chance of changing suppliers??

I can get the copies I need through my sister who works in a "real" bookshop - they ordered in 1500 copies! That's $45000 worth - wholesale. Being able to spend that much on one book is just beyond my comprehension.
