Apparently, in the Boronia/Bayswater area, there were over 170 calls to emergency services that afternoon. Lots of shops and businesses got flooded out, including the chemist where Kylie works and the Toyota dealership where I bought my car from. The local paper has a photo of someone's late-model Merc with water up to the windows.
Oh yeah, and the shop building has been sold. No-one's told us, the tenants.

Having lived in a flood plain for a good part of my life, I know how horrible that water can be. My heart goes out to those impacted by the flooding.
I hope that the selling of the shop building won't affect you. :-( Did you even know it was up for sale?
are they going to let you guys stay?
