This bookshop is just not making enough money. We need to shift it to a place where there's more passing trade. People just don't come up to this end of Boronia anymore, since the post office and banks moved away. Increasingly, we're relying on the regulars to keep us afloat and, sadly, they just aren't enough. And because trade is down we can't afford to advertise and I have to be really picky about what stock I can buy in. Downward spiral..... sigh.

It's a tough tough business. Our downtown 2nd hand store has moved to a warehouse, is concentrating on internet business whilst building up cash so he can try again. He had been a buyer at Barnes and Nobles, sure would have liked to see him succeed.
Do you advertise?
I know, advertising costs money.
