I think my eyes are in trouble...

I've taken a heap of photos over the last couple of days and I'm really disappointed at the number which didn't turn out. They look perfectly focused when I look through the viewfinder but when I see them large on the computer they're all over the shop. I think it's my eyes. I've had reading specs for a while now. Now I think I need focusing specs as well. :(

And now I've played enough today - it's time to go do something about the mountains of books surrounding me.
Later gators....

okay, i'm looking at flickr now. I'm not sure it is your eyes. I'm thinking it is camera settings. I googled your camera. It's actually a DSLR, isn't it?

Julie, that happens to me too. I can take over a fifty photos of something and maybe I get two or three good ones.

Looks like you had a good day off. :)

Yes, DSLR. Canon 400D. Sometimes I think it's just too complicated for me.

no, it's NOT too complicated for you! There's a lot to those babies, but you can work it out . . . my old film camera was SLR, and I got so I knew what I was doing with it.

Yes mum.

I'll work it out eventually - reading the manual helps a bit but only when I've got camera in hand as well. And when I'm out snapping I forget to have a look at what it says.

I usually can only remember like one pointer at a time and after I think I have that going well, I can do another.

You're doing good Julie. ;)

One at a time is probably a good idea. I think, sometimes, I try to do too much all at once.

Actually, Shirl, I used to have far more success with my old slr film camera. But my eyes were better then too! ;)

**chuckle**

my most recent digital camera gave me fits when I started. I tended to do too much point and shoot. It makes you point, focus and shoot. When I FINALLY read the directions, things became clearer.

Oh these cameras. We love them and we hate them!

Does it have an auto setting option?

The reason I ask is cause I am using that a lot more than manual and would like an slr, but it does sound like a lot more to it.

yes it does and I use it most of the time. Lots easier! :)
