I've kinda almost maybe possibly perhaps come to a decision......

I need to get fitter. Just a simple stroll up a gentle slope leaves me breathing hard and I'm fed up with it. Of course, being fed up doesn't necessarily mean I'll do anything about it, but I am thinking about it.
There are plenty of options.
1. Give up smoking. I should do that regardless but it's a whole lot easier said than done.
2. Eat better. That's much easier. My diet lately has been woeful. I've started having fruit here at the shop every day. I love fruit but it's been sadly lacking of late. Easy enough to fix that.
3. Exercise. I'm not playing tennis anymore and I miss that. I need to start walking at least. Now that the weather's improving walking might become more of an option. I'd like to start swimming again but the thought of me in bathers - *shudder*
4. Drink less. Stupid idea.
5. Find some willpower - the central issue. Thinking is easy, doing is a whole different matter.

You're stubborn enough to be able to do it! Good luck!

Stubborn, yes. Able?

I feel like I might sound like my mom.

smoke less until you are down to next to nothing. walking around the block every other day does do wonders.

but like you say - saying (thinking) and doing are two different things. Try to tackle one subject at a time or maybe just two from this list and then after time add one more.

I agree with number 4 - lol ;)

As long as you don't start sounding like mine!! :)

I figure if I can give up the smokes then exercise will become easier. So that's first. #4 - well, don't want to go overboard do I.

I think you can . . . but again, thinking is easy. Diane has sure made a lot of adjustments!

It's been my experience that if you exercise, etc, the ciggie smoking will slow down on its own. I didn't quit, but I slowed waaaay down. You'll do it.

Well it's not gonna happen today. I'm working on a decent strategy 'cos I can't do cold turkey.
